         Tips on lowering prescription costs!

1. Pharmacies all have different prices, shop around!
If you find a cheaper price, ask your pharmacist to
     price match.

2. If you do not have prescription coverage or even if
you do and still want to lower you cost, ask your
doctor to prescribe generic drugs.  Generics are
cheaper than brands and just as good.

3.  Splitting medications is another good way to
lower the cost of your drugs. Ask your pharmacist
if the medications you are currently using can
be split. If so, speak with your physician and see
      if it’s right for you.

6. See doctors at local free clinics. They are staffed by
excellent physicians and some have in-house
pharmacies that offer free or deeply-discounted
     medications.

5. If you are computer savvy, you can shop on-line
for your medications. Look for these seals of
      approval to assure safety.

4.  Look for Patient Assistance Programs, or (PAPs).
These programs are offered to people with no
prescription coverage and low income.  They
offer medication at a low cost or free.  They
are not a substitution for prescription coverage
but they help provide expensive medications in
time of need.  Please visit our page on PAP’s.
